At BuildPieces, we want every builder to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. Whether you need to return an unopened set, replace a missing brick, or resolve a transit issue, our clear policy is outlined below with our signature 1-Year After-Sales Support Guarantee.
1. 14-Day Return Policy
You may request a return within 14 calendar days from the date your package is marked as delivered by the carrier. To qualify for a refund:
- The item must be unused, unassembled, and in the exact condition in which it was received.
- All factory-sealed numbered plastic bags, parts, and instruction manuals must remain intact and unopened.
- Proof of purchase or your BuildPieces order number must be provided.
Please contact our support team before returning any item to receive return authorization (RMA) and the designated return address. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to a defect or our fulfillment error.
2. European Union 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If your order was shipped to an address within the European Union, statutory consumer law grants you the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without providing any reason.
• The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you (or a designated third party) take physical possession of the goods.
• To exercise your withdrawal right, simply email our support team with your order number within the 14-day window.
• You must dispatch the goods back to us within 14 days after notifying us. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receipt of the returned items or proof of dispatch, to the original payment method.
3. 1-Year After-Sales Support & Missing Parts Guarantee
Building brick sets should be a joyful, stress-free experience. That is why BuildPieces provides a comprehensive 1-Year (365-Day) After-Sales Support Guarantee starting from your delivery date:
★ Free Missing Parts Replacement
In the rare event that a brick or accessory is missing from your set, we will ship replacement pieces to your door 100% free of charge for the initial request.
★ Manufacturing Defects & Damaged Parts
If any piece is molded defectively, broken, or warped, we provide prompt free replacement parts or appropriate store credit.
How to request missing parts:
1. Check all bags and sorting trays carefully. 2. Mark the missing part number and step in your building manual. 3. Submit your request with a photo or step number on our Missing Pieces Guarantee form. We will dispatch replacement bricks promptly!
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded once processed:
- Customized, personalized, or custom-picked loose brick lot orders.
- MOC products custom-sourced, picked, or packaged specifically for a customer.
- Digital building instruction guides or downloadable content.
- BuildPieces gift cards or store credit balances.
- Sets that have already been opened, assembled, or modified.
5. How to Complete a Return
Step 1
Request Authorization
Contact our support team with your order number and reason for return. We will reply with return instructions and the return address.
Step 2
Pack Securely
Place the sealed sets, original accessories, and manuals inside a sturdy mailing box with protective padding to avoid transit damage.
Step 3
Ship with Tracking
Ship using a trackable courier service and email us the tracking number. We cannot be held responsible for untracked lost return parcels.
6. Refunds & Payment Processing
Once your return parcel is received and inspected at our logistics center, we will email you to confirm approval of your refund.
- Approved Refunds: Processed directly back to your original payment method (Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, etc.) within 3 to 7 business days.
- Bank & Card Processing Time: Depending on your credit card issuer or financial institution, funds typically take 2 to 5 business days to post to your statement.
- Order Cancellations Before Dispatch: If you request cancellation before your order is packed and dispatched, a full refund will be issued immediately. Once a package is with the courier, standard return procedures apply.
7. Product Packaging & Compatibility Notice
• All building bricks sold on BuildPieces are premium quality, independently manufactured alternative building bricks 100% compatible with major systems. They are not manufactured or sponsored by the LEGO Group.
• Sets are securely shipped in reinforced protective packaging with factory-sealed bags to reduce costs and avoid crushed retail boxes during transit. The absence of an outer retail color box is not considered a defect and does not qualify as grounds for return.
